The Chesapeake Winder is a portable trotline winder that was designed to be used by recreational and light commercial crabbers.

   The complete unit only weights 17 pounds and can bring your trotline into the boat at up to 300 feet per minute.

   After installing the included four inch cleat and backer plate the winder takes less then thirty seconds to mount and remove from your boat.

   The winder works on lines 3/16" diameter and larger, with or without snoods.  It also works with clam bags with little to no practice.

   The winder is made with materials that will hold up to the salt water conditions and with little maintenance required.  Just a light spray with fresh water at the end of the day should keep your winder running for years.
